Richard's Fathers Day Walk & Jog Group Volunteer Event

Join us to either run or volunteer. We can use about ten volunteers to help on the racecourse and loads of walkers/runners. Volunteers will be there from about 7:15 AM - 9:15 AM and the run starts at 8 AM. It is a family-friendly event and there's even an option for our furry four-legged family members.

The Gonzmart Family Foundation pays all of the race expenses and donates all of the sponsorship and registration fees to the Moffitt Cancer Center.

Sign up at https://raceroster.com/.../richards-fathers-day-walk-and.... Use the Volunteer link on the upper left side of the page and select "Course/Water Stops" in the dropdown box.

Let's join the Fighter Foundation in the bi-annual tradition of cleaning up River Boulevard Park. The park was adopted by Michelle and Ryan DeJong through Keeping Tampa Bay Beautiful and became the topic of one of Michelle's "Lesson's Along the Way," when she wrote, "If you dare complain, be prepared to act."

Long Haul 100 Aid Station

It's time for a disco dance party ultra aid station. Sign up here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/aid-station-at-long-haul-100-tickets-51384028011.

The Long Haul 100 is the only annual 100 mile ultra in the Tampa area. With it's new Race Directors (Andy & Amy Matthews), Long Haul is striving to become Florida's only Western States Endurance Run qualifying race. With that goal, they have significantly reduced the registration cost and have made it the largest ultra in the Tampa region with over 200 runners registered already.

Let's help them accomplish the goal by providing our awesome aid station experience. The race starts at 7 AM Saturday and has a cut-off at 3 PM Sunday. We'll set up 3-hour time slots for volunteers so everyone will have the opportunity to come out and spend a little time with the runners.

You may be familiar with our PTC aid station but this one will be stepped up a few notches with the overnight party complete with disco balls and dance music to keep the runners pumped up.

SpeakUp5k Volunteers

As you all know, the SpeakUp5k is a group race for us. Mental health in our community has been on our minds lately and the SpeakUp5k organizers care about it too. A portion of the proceeds from this race will be donated to the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay to support their Florida Healthy Transitions program that is funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The program aims to improve access to treatment and support services for youth and young adults ages 16 – 25 that either have, are experiencing symptoms, or are at risk of developing a serious mental health condition.

Having said all of that, you don't have to run the race to support it. We're also making the opportunity to volunteer with two different groups.

1. Set up Race Course - 6:30 - 8:30 AM (20 openings)

2. Cheer Squad 1 - 8:30 - 10:30 AM (30 openings)

If you would like to volunteer with us, click here to create your account. Once that is done, scroll down to the SpeakUp5k Tampa and select the option above that you want to help with.
